Tower of Terror II was an Intamin AG launched shuttle roller coaster located at Dreamworld in Queensland, Australia.
History
It originally opened as Tower of Terror on 23 January 1997, becoming the tallest and fastest roller coaster in the world at the time.
Renovation
In August 2010, Dreamworld announced that it would be flipping the car around backwards and a 676 foot tunnel would be added. The ride reopened only a few weeks later.
Closure
The ride closed on 3 November 2019. Tower of Terror II was one of only two Reverse Freefall Coasters designed by Intamin AG (the other being Superman: Escape from Krypton at Six Flags Magic Mountain).
